On the 17th and 18th March I have a table booked in the dealers room of Minami Con in Southampton. I have never sold at a convention before so this was a totally new experience for me. Saturday was particularly tiring; waking up at 5am to leave the house at 6. I arrived at the con at 7 for setting up. I was done setting up about 9.30am which gave me a few hours to get to know people and felt very welcomed. The dealers room opened up at 11am and a huge group of people came piling into the room. I had a busy couple of hours but things quietened down in the afternoon and then picked up again just before the dealers room was about to close. Afterwards I hung out and watched the masquerade and made the hour journey home. Another early start on Sunday but not too bad as I didn't have to set up again. Sunday was pretty quiet but still a successful day for me. Overall it has opened my eyes up to the kind of places I would love to sell out. Minami Con is the smallest convention in the UK with 350 registered members every year. I have researched the conventions around Britain and have just been accepted to run a stall at the Brighton Japan Festival in June!
